An informal bush garden with about 1,000 trees and shrubs, mostly natives, planted on the boundary of a 7.5ha block, some of which are not in general cultivation. Come prepared if it’s hot, the 1km walk will take a while. A plant list will be available. Below are some of the plants for which there will be photos, a display of many of the plants will be exhibited for you to enjoy.
We make knitted and woven items that include beanies mittens and scarves. If weather permits, (not wet/windy or hot), we may have some for sale. Also I may have a couple of looms set up to demonstrate different styles of weaving. Nothing to do with gardening, but it is a hobby that we enjoy.
* A display of photos of our trees and shrubs in flower, for example we have hakeas flowering now that are spectacular, but won’t be flowering in Oct.
* A display of different gum nuts and leaves from our trees, showing their diversity in size, colour and shape. Flowers for sale, native of course.
* Depending on what is flowering in Oct, we may have bunches of flowers
